A new documentary about US Immigration and Customs Enforcement is being described as frightening as a horror movie, with its makers saying they set out to put the audience 'in a position of terror'. The film examines immigration enforcement practices, and early coverage is drawing attention to its intense, unsettling portrayal of how arrests and deportations unfold.
Why now: Immigration enforcement in the US remains highly contentious, making a documentary framed as horror especially striking to audiences.
