Citizen collaboration credited for PFAS Awareness Week success
Original: Citizen collaboration drives PFAS Awareness Week successes
PFAS Awareness Week has been marked as a success, with officials attributing the outcome to strong citizen collaboration. The campaign focused on raising awareness of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, the persistent 'forever chemicals' linked to water contamination and health concerns, and encouraged residents to take part in local efforts around testing, education and cleanup advocacy.
Why now: Growing public concern over PFAS water contamination keeps awareness campaigns and community involvement in the news.
