Original: Joey Votto's Zack Wheeler proclamation goes hilariously wrong in Phillies-Braves Game 3
Joey Votto made a bold proclamation about Phillies ace Zack Wheeler during Game 3 of the Philadelphia Phillies-Atlanta Braves series, and it immediately went hilariously wrong on the field. The moment quickly circulated among baseball fans, who relished the irony of the confident call being undone in real time during a high-stakes playoff game.
Why now: A former MVP's confident on-air call being instantly proven wrong made for irresistible, shareable playoff comedy.
