A viewer finally watched the 1973 British cult classic The Wicker Man and found it defied expectations. Expecting straightforward horror, they described it instead as feeling like an episode of Heartbeat directed by David Lynch — a mix of cosy rural drama and surreal unease. They plan to rewatch it, adding to the film's seasonal Halloween discussion.
Why now: The film is being revisited during the Halloween season, prompting fresh reactions to its unusual tone.
