Charity Delivers Portable Solar Power to Kherson as Grid Takes Hits
Original: Hope for Ukraine Rushes Portable Solar to Kherson As Russia Hits Grid
The aid group Hope for Ukraine is rushing portable solar equipment to Kherson after renewed Russian strikes knocked out parts of the city's power grid. The units are meant to keep homes and essential services supplied with electricity where repairs to the network lag behind the damage. It is part of a wider effort to get emergency power to Ukrainian regions repeatedly targeted during attacks on energy infrastructure.
Why now: Russian strikes on Ukraine's power grid have renewed attention on emergency energy aid to frontline cities like Kherson.
