Ethiopia and Eritrea break diplomatic ties over conflict
Original: Eye on Africa - Ethiopia and Eritrea break diplomatic ties over conflict
France 24's Eye on Africa programme reports that Ethiopia and Eritrea have broken diplomatic ties amid ongoing conflict. The development would mark a major rupture between the two neighbours, who fought a devastating border war from 1998 to 2000 before normalising relations in 2018. Details about the exact causes and timing of the break are not yet available.
