Original: Show HN: Rhun, an open-source code editor written in assembly https://rhun.app/ # HackerNews # Tech # OpenSource
A developer has launched Rhun, an open-source code editor written entirely in assembly language, sharing it with the tech community. The project is notable for its unusual choice of low-level programming, which promises speed and minimal resource use but makes development far harder than with mainstream languages. Reactions so far are limited, with early interest typical of small experimental projects.
Why now: Writing a full code editor in assembly is a rare technical feat that naturally attracts curiosity from programmers.
