Boeing lands first full-rate order for Grey Wolf helicopter
Original: Boeing adds to big week with first full-rate Grey Wolf helicopter order
Boeing has received the first full-rate production order for its MH-139A Grey Wolf helicopter, capping a notable week for the company. The order marks the transition of the programme from development to full production. The Grey Wolf is set to take on security and utility missions for the US Air Force, and the award is being read as a sign the troubled programme is moving forward.
Why now: Boeing is on a run of positive defence and commercial announcements, so a new full-rate military order is drawing attention.
