Trump Says He Regrets Three Supreme Court Appointments
Original: Trump Regrets Three Supreme Court Picks in TIME Interview
Donald Trump told TIME he regrets three of his Supreme Court appointments, a striking remark given he named three justices during his first term, shifting the court to a solid conservative majority. The comments, made as the court weighs cases with major political stakes, have drawn attention across the political spectrum, with critics calling the remarks reckless and supporters reading them as frustration with rulings that have gone against him.
Why now: Trump's public criticism of his own justices is unusual and lands while the Supreme Court is deciding high-profile cases affecting his agenda.
