Travel restrictions eased for man accused of throwing rock at monk seal
A Hawaii man accused of throwing a rock at an endangered Hawaiian monk seal has had his travel restrictions eased, according to Aloha State Daily. The original restrictions were imposed as a condition linked to the case against him. The change in terms is now drawing attention, with readers discussing how seriously wildlife harm against the protected species should be punished.
Why now: People are talking about it because harm to endangered Hawaiian monk seals is an emotional issue and the easing of restrictions appears lenient.
