Apple's smart home camera reportedly won't record video
A new report claims Apple's upcoming smart home camera will not record video, positioning it as a sensor-driven accessory rather than a traditional security camera. The device is expected to work with Apple's smart home ecosystem, but the apparent absence of video recording is raising questions about its practical use and how it compares to rival home security products from Google, Amazon and others.
Why now: The unusual design choice of a home camera that does not record video is surprising and prompts debate about its purpose and appeal.
