Fictional zombie walkers prowl the streets after quarantine
Original: La cuarentena no terminó. Ahora las calles las recorren ellos: los caminantes desquiciados. Lentos, cabizbajos, tristes…
A Spanish-language creative writing project imagines that quarantine never ended, and that the streets are now filled with 'caminantes desquiciados' — deranged walkers who move slowly, heads down and sad, until they smell you, then run, hungry for flesh. The piece, shared under a books tag as part of a fiction project, is drawing attention for its horror take on pandemic-era imagery.
Why now: Readers are sharing the eerie horror-fiction premise that plays on lingering pandemic quarantine fears.
