Sony brings AI upscaling to base PS5 in Wolverine and Ghost of Yōtei

Original: ps5 pro

Sony's new QSSR AI upscaling technology, previously tied to the PS5 Pro, is coming to the base PS5 through Marvel's Wolverine and Ghost of Yōtei, according to Digital Foundry. The move would let owners of the original console benefit from AI-enhanced image quality once reserved for the Pro model. Gamers are debating what this means for the PS5 Pro's value proposition, with some wondering if the Pro's hardware advantage is narrowing.

Why now: People are discussing whether AI upscaling on the base PS5 reduces the reason to buy a PS5 Pro.
