Apple to replace iPhone screen cover layer for $19
Original: Apple’s iPhone Duo cover layer is replaceable for just $19 with AppleCare+
Apple will replace the outer cover layer on the iPhone Duo for $19 for customers with an AppleCare+ plan. The service applies to the protective glass layer rather than the full display, making repairs significantly cheaper than a standard screen replacement. The offer applies to Apple's latest dual-device lineup and is seen as a customer-friendly repair policy.
Why now: The low repair cost stands out compared with typically expensive iPhone screen repairs, drawing interest from iPhone owners.
