ILO Puts Labour Rights on Agenda at Samarkand Human Rights Forum
Original: ILO highlights labour rights at Samarkand Forum on Human Rights
The International Labour Organization is spotlighting labour rights at the Samarkand Forum on Human Rights, held in Uzbekistan. The organisation says workplace rights must be treated as an integral part of the broader human rights agenda, using the regional forum to press governments and partners on decent work standards, protections for workers, and the link between social justice and human rights commitments.
Why now: The forum is bringing international attention to labour rights as part of the human rights discussion in Central Asia.
