US School Leaders Push Human-Centered Public Education
Original: Reimagining Public Education: Leadership, Learning, and the Shift Toward Human-Centered Schools
AASA, The School Superintendents Association, has put forward a vision for reimagining public education centered on leadership, learning, and human-centered schools. The initiative calls on district leaders to move beyond traditional models and focus on student wellbeing and community engagement in how schools are run. The framework is being shared with superintendents across the United States as districts weigh post-pandemic changes in teaching and school culture.
Why now: Education leaders are actively debating how to reform public schooling around student needs rather than standardized metrics.
