Original: PS3 emulator devs warn of fake Blu-ray drives on Newegg and AliExpress The developers of a leading PlayStation 3 emulato
The developers behind a leading PlayStation 3 emulator have issued a warning about a recent influx of fake Blu-ray drives being sold on Newegg and AliExpress. These drives are used to dump game discs for emulation, and counterfeit units could fail or produce bad dumps. The warning is circulating among emulation and hardware enthusiasts.
Why now: Buyers may be purchasing counterfeit drives without knowing, and the emulator community relies on real drives to dump games.
