Breadcrumb launches: Mac app records everything for AI context
Original: Show HN: Breadcrumb, record everything on your mac + context manager for AI
Breadcrumb, a macOS tool that continuously records everything on a user's screen or machine and packages that history as context for AI assistants, was launched on Hacker News. The maker pitched it as both a screen/activity recorder and a context manager, letting AI tools draw on what a user has been doing. Early reactions focus on the usefulness of AI memory features weighed against obvious privacy and security questions around capturing everything on a personal computer.
Why now: Developers are debating the trade-off between giving AI assistants full context and the privacy risks of recording everything on a Mac.
