Original: NEW: Counter Terror Police have issued a correction on the age of the British-Iranian national they arrested earlier tod

Counter Terrorism Policing has issued a correction over the arrest of a British-Iranian national detained earlier today in connection with an alleged plot at RAF Fairford. Officers now say the man is 25, not 27 as first reported. They also confirmed there was no interview under caution of a second man, contrary to their earlier statement.

Why now: The police's retraction of key details in a high-profile terror arrest is drawing scrutiny over the accuracy of the original announcement.
