Joe Davis to call Dodgers NLDS for Fox Sports
Original: Joe Davis will call Dodgers NLDS for Fox Sports
Fox Sports announcer Joe Davis will be on the call for the Los Angeles Dodgers' National League Division Series, according to Yahoo Sports. The announcement matters to baseball fans because Davis is the Dodgers' regular play-by-play voice, raising the familiar question of how he balances neutrality while broadcasting a postseason series involving the team he covers all season.
Why now: Postseason assignments for high-profile announcers are a perennial point of fan debate, especially when a team's local broadcaster calls its playoff games nationally.
