Nashville finished September with no measurable rainfall, making it the driest September on record for the city. The monthly average is around 3.5 inches, already among the drier months of the year, so the complete absence of rain stands out sharply. Locals are noting the unusual streak and what it could mean for drought conditions in Middle Tennessee.
Why now: A completely rain-free month in a city that normally gets over three inches is a striking record-breaking weather event.
