Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the attacker on a flight had undergone Islamist radical indoctrination. The statement, reported by the BBC, came amid heightened attention to air travel security and political debate over radicalisation. Details about the flight, the attacker and the circumstances of the incident remain limited in the available reporting.
Why now: Netanyahu's characterisation of the attack as Islamist radicalisation is politically charged and draws wide attention.
