Original: Florida Department of Education eyes dress code for employees
The Florida Department of Education is weighing a dress code for its own employees, according to the Sun Sentinel. The proposal would set workplace attire standards for staff at the state agency that oversees Florida's public schools and universities. The report has drawn attention in local news, with observers questioning why the department is focusing on employee clothing and what rules would apply.
Why now: A state education agency regulating its own staff's attire strikes many as unusual given ongoing debates over dress codes in Florida schools.
