Colleen Hoover adaptation 'Verity' eyes $35 million box office debut

Original: verity

The film adaptation of Colleen Hoover's novel 'Verity', starring Anne Hathaway, is tracking for a $35 million opening weekend at the North American box office. A No. 1 debut would mark Hathaway's third chart-topping film of the year. New release 'Digger' is expected to struggle, with projections of around $12 million.

Why now: The film is opening in theatres this weekend and box office projections suggest a strong debut for a book adaptation.
