EU officials slam Microsoft Teams alternative Element Pro

Original: 🔥 ‘Absolute shit’: EU’s Microsoft Teams alternative draws bad reviews from officials – POLITICO ｢ A third official said

EU officials are harshly criticizing Element Pro, the internal messaging and collaboration tool adopted as a Microsoft Teams alternative. One official said that judging on how well Element Pro works compared to Teams, the United States would 'instantly win the war' if it ever switched off its technology. The comments reflect frustration with the platform's performance as the bloc pushes digital sovereignty away from US software.

Why now: POLITICO's report on officials' blunt criticism of the EU's Teams replacement highlights the gap between the EU's tech sovereignty ambitions and its practical experience.
