Commenters in France are voicing alarm that authorities fear a convergence of protest movements — including high school blockades — could escalate into wider unrest, and expect a heavy-handed, violent police response as a result. Posts link the tensions to blockades of lycées, denouncing police violence and expressing solidarity with young protesters in the education sector.
