Presenter Seiji Miyane of Nippon TV's daytime programme 'Miyane-ya' and his successor in the following time slot — announcer Chiaki Kuroki and Kanjani Eight's Shingo Murakami of 'News to' — exchanged handwritten messages of encouragement. Miyane told them he would be watching from in front of the television, while the pair thanked him with 'you really worked hard', drawing warm fan reaction.
Why now: The handover between the long-running show and its replacement programme is generating interest among Japanese TV viewers.
