Original: Local teens encouraged to compete in national financial education contest

Teens are being encouraged to take part in a national financial education contest, giving young people a chance to test their money-management knowledge against students across the country. Organisers hope the competition will build practical skills in budgeting, saving and investing at an early age, and local educators are promoting it as an opportunity for students to compete and learn.

Why now: The contest is open for entries now, prompting local outreach to students.
