Interfaith Panel Calls for Nuclear Abolition, Rejecting Fatalism
An interfaith panel has issued a call for the abolition of nuclear weapons, arguing against fatalistic acceptance of their continued existence. The panel's message, promoted by the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons, stresses that disarmament is a moral and practical choice rather than an impossible goal, and urges people of different faiths to work together toward eliminating nuclear arms worldwide.
Why now: Renewed global concern over nuclear risk and disarmament is putting abolition campaigns back in the spotlight.
