UN forum in Abu Dhabi hears Hamas sexual crimes evidence
A United Nations forum held in Abu Dhabi has heard evidence of sexual crimes committed by Hamas, according to the Jerusalem Post. The presentation of such testimony at a UN-linked event in the Gulf is notable given past disputes over how international bodies have addressed allegations of sexual violence on October 7. The report gives no further details on speakers or responses.
Why now: Presentation of Hamas sexual violence evidence at a UN forum in the Gulf is unusual and politically charged amid ongoing debate over October 7 atrocities.
