China's Shenzhou-23 astronauts marked the country's National Day by sending greetings to people on Earth from the Tiangong space station, Chinese state media reported. The message comes as the crew continues its mission in orbit, and it was widely covered as part of National Day celebrations on October 1.
Why now: The greetings coincide with China's National Day holiday, when patriotic stories from the space programme draw broad attention.
