Miliband criticised for calling Flydubai attack an 'incident'
Original: Observers baffled after Miliband describes Flydubai terror attack as ‘incident’
Ed Miliband has drawn criticism after describing the Flydubai terror attack as an 'incident'. Observers say the wording downplays what was a terrorist attack, and the choice of language has prompted bafflement and debate about why the phrase was used. The remark has become the focus of discussion rather than the attack itself.
Why now: His seemingly cautious or evasive wording about a terror attack struck observers as odd and politically revealing.
