Japan national team striker Ayase Ueda is drawing wide attention after a run of consecutive goals for his club. French media have lavished praise on the forward, saying his confidence is overflowing and that he now stands alongside Kylian Mbappé in scoring form, sitting just two goals behind Lamine Yamal. Ueda has been increasingly seen as Japan's first-choice striker heading into major fixtures.
