Congress Ends Session on a Quiet, Unremarkable Note
Original: Congress Wraps Up With a Whimper and a Shrug
The Wall Street Journal reports that Congress has concluded its session with little to show for it, describing the end as coming 'with a whimper and a shrug.' The framing suggests lawmakers adjourned without major legislative achievements or dramatic confrontations, leaving both parties largely indifferent. Coverage characterizes the close as anticlimactic rather than contentious.
Why now: A major outlet's dismissive characterization of the session's end is drawing attention as lawmakers head into the next political cycle.
