Lewis Hamilton gives strongest public backing yet to Ferrari boss Fred Vasseur
Original: Lewis Hamilton hands Ferrari F1 boss Fred Vasseur strongest show of support yet
Lewis Hamilton has publicly thrown his weight behind Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur, in what is being described as the seven-time Formula 1 world champion's strongest show of support for the Frenchman to date. The endorsement comes amid speculation over Vasseur's future at Maranello, with Hamilton's words seen as a significant vote of confidence in the team leadership during a difficult spell.
Why now: Vasseur's position at Ferrari has been under scrutiny, so Hamilton's explicit backing carries weight.
