England have named legspinner Mason Crane in their squad for the upcoming one-day series against Pakistan, while fast bowler Jofra Archer is being rested. The move reflects England's careful management of Archer's workload as he returns from injury, with selectors using the tour of Pakistan to blood new spin options ahead of future global tournaments.
Why now: Fresh squad news ahead of England's high-profile white-ball tour of Pakistan, including Archer's absence and a surprise call-up.
