Yoinks terminal tool lets you download videos directly
Original: pablostanley/yoinks
Developer Pablo Stanley has released Yoinks, a command-line tool written in TypeScript that downloads videos directly from the terminal, advertising itself as free of shady ads. The project is gaining attention on GitHub, where early users are engaging with it, with interest focused on whether a simple, ad-free video downloader can compete with cluttered mainstream alternatives.
Why now: A new open-source, ad-free video downloader from a well-known designer is getting fresh attention on GitHub.
