UEFA chief calls FIFA president Infantino an 'emperor with no clothes'

Original: fifa

UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin has sharply criticised FIFA leader Gianni Infantino, dismissing his proposals for world football as concessions that amount to nothing. In comments reported by Dutch outlet NU, Ceferin described Infantino as 'an emperor with no clothes', signalling escalating tensions between European football's governing body and FIFA over the direction of the global game.

Why now: Fresh public attacks between the heads of UEFA and FIFA are rare and point to a growing power struggle in world football.
