Original: RE: https:// social.owncast.online/@owncast /117362130347294367 # DigitalOcean , which just joined DHH's fascist dotfile
DigitalOcean is shutting down its open source support program, according to posts circulating on Mastodon. The move comes shortly after the company reportedly made a $3 million donation to DHH's dotfile repository initiative, which critics have labelled fascist. Commenters are framing the two events together, questioning the company's commitment to the open source community.
Why now: People are upset that DigitalOcean cut open source support right after a controversial $3M donation tied to DHH's project.
