Gideon Levy says Israel is panicking over Gaza film
Original: Israel Is PANICKING Over Gaza Film - Courageous Israeli Journalist Gideon Levy Explains Why
Israeli journalist Gideon Levy, a longtime Haaretz columnist known for his criticism of Israeli policy, argues that Israel is panicking over a film about Gaza. In a discussion with UK commentator Owen Jones, Levy says the film has touched a nerve inside Israel and explains why the country's response has been defensive. Levy is a polarising figure in Israel, often accused of betraying the state, which keeps his commentary a frequent flashpoint online.
Why now: Ongoing global attention to Gaza and Levy's reputation as a dissenting Israeli voice make his claims about Israeli anxiety over the film highly shareable.
