EU opens applications for free DiscoverEU travel passes for 18-year-olds

Original: Turning 18? Apply for a free DiscoverEU travel pass

The European Commission is inviting young people turning 18 to apply for a free DiscoverEU travel pass, giving new adults the chance to travel across Europe by rail and explore the continent. The EU-funded programme offers a limited number of passes each application round, and the Commission is promoting the current call to eligible teenagers across member states.

Why now: A new application round for the popular EU youth travel scheme has opened, prompting officials to spread the word to those newly eligible.
