Jonathan Cook says RAF Fairford arrest coverage exposes press failures
Original: “Reporting of the RAF Fairford arrests blows the idea of a ‘free press’ out of the water” by Jonathan Cook on Substack @
Writer Jonathan Cook argues that coverage of arrests at RAF Fairford shows the limits of Britain's supposedly free press. In a Substack essay he claims mainstream media downplay or distort stories touching the West's war industries, and he is urging readers to question how such cases are reported.
Why now: Fresh arrests at RAF Fairford have reignited debate about media independence on military matters.
