Netanyahu: Flydubai passengers averted 9/11-type disaster
Original: Netanyahu: Passengers aboard Flydubai flight prevented a "9/11-type disaster"
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said passengers aboard a Flydubai flight prevented what he described as a potential 9/11-type disaster. The claim, reported by CNN, has drawn attention as details about the incident and how the situation unfolded remain sparse, with authorities and the airline yet to release a full account of the events.
Why now: The Israeli prime minister's dramatic comparison to 9/11 makes the claim highly newsworthy at a time of heightened aviation security concerns.
