Original: Taiwan tightens exemptions for military-age men 12:22 Physical examination amendments will be in effect starting Oct 31
Taiwan is tightening exemptions for military-age men, with amended physical examination standards set to take effect on October 31. The changes limit who can be exempted from conscription on health grounds, part of ongoing adjustments to the island's conscription system amid heightened tensions with China.
