All-ex-pro final set at 2026 U.S. Mid-Amateur
Original: Former PGA Tour, Korn Ferry Tour players reach all-ex-pro final at 2026 U.S. Mid-Amateur
Two former professionals, one with PGA Tour experience and the other from the Korn Ferry Tour, have advanced to the final of the 2026 U.S. Mid-Amateur, setting up an all-ex-pro championship match. The matchup is notable because the Mid-Amateur is reserved for amateur golfers aged 25 and older, and both finalists have since regained amateur status after their professional careers.
Why now: An all-ex-professional final at an amateur championship is an unusual storyline drawing attention from golf fans.
