Jason Kottke says you can destroy kottke.org if you want

Original: You can destroy kottke.org if you want. Or any other site! https://kottke.org/26/09/0049710-destroy-kottkeorg # Internet

Veteran blogger Jason Kottke has published a new post on kottke.org stating that anyone can destroy the site — or any other site — if they want to. The remark, shared widely on Mastodon, reads as a pointed comment on the fragility and openness of the web, where sites can be taken down, altered or lost with little resistance from their readers.

Why now: Kottke's provocative framing about how easily websites can be destroyed is striking a chord amid ongoing concerns about the web's fragility.
