Tennessee moves toward first female execution in 200 years
Original: tadaryl shipp
Tennessee is preparing to carry out its first execution of a woman in 200 years, drawing renewed attention to the decades-old murder case that sent Christa Pike to death row. Her co-defendant, Tadaryl Shipp, was convicted in the same 1995 killing of Colleen Slemmer in Knoxville and is named in searches alongside the case.
Why now: Interest in the historic execution has revived attention on everyone involved in the underlying case, including co-defendant Tadaryl Shipp.
