Ukraine seen as key transit hub for US energy exports to Europe
Original: Ukraine can play a key role enabling US energy exports to Europe
Atlantic Council argues Ukraine can play a key role in enabling US energy exports to Europe, positioning the country as a transit and infrastructure partner as the US seeks to supply more liquefied natural gas and other energy to European markets. The proposal ties Ukraine's reconstruction and integration with Europe's push to diversify away from Russian energy.
Why now: Europe is seeking to replace Russian energy supplies, and Ukraine's potential role in US energy transit is a timely policy debate.
