A Republican congressional candidate is campaigning with Donald Trump's endorsement and displays his scowling mug shot on her campaign website. The candidate's stated platform focuses on stopping fraud in Washington and cutting government costs. Some observers are critical, arguing that Trump himself is responsible for the problems she claims to want to fix, and expressing skepticism about her message.
Why now: The unusual use of Trump's mug shot as a campaign symbol and the endorsement are drawing attention and criticism in a competitive race.
