NBA should bring back the post-up game, column argues
Original: The NBA should return to the post-up game again
A column from James Madison University's student paper argues the NBA should return to the post-up game, the traditional back-to-the-basket style that has largely disappeared amid the league's three-point revolution. The piece contends that post play offers more variety and physicality than today's perimeter-heavy offenses, adding to ongoing debate among fans and analysts about whether modern basketball has become too stylistically uniform.
Why now: Debate over the NBA's three-point-heavy style and whether traditional big-man post play should make a comeback remains a talking point among basketball fans.
